Payment Processing, Inc
Payment Processing, Inc. (PPI) is the industry leader in providing integrated payment processing solutions. Our close partnerships with software developers give us a unique perspective on the issues and opportunities associated with integrated payment processing for them, their resellers, and their customers.
HISTORY
Payment Processing Incorporated was founded in March 1995 as a sister company to IC Verify with Chuck Smith, PPI's current Chairman and CEO, as General Manager. Chuck quickly became aware of the problems experienced by software developers and merchants as the developers struggled to integrate payment processing into their applications. He witnessed the lack of support for merchants, and the frustration they experienced as they were bounced from their bank to their software provider - and then back again - each time they sought technical help. It was clear that the solution was a combination of technology and service, and the market was ready for someone to step up to the challenge.
Meanwhile, the parent company decided to focus their efforts elsewhere, so in December of 1996 Chuck Smith negotiated a purchase of PPI. He was confident he could build a company that addressed the complex problems associated with integrating payment processing technology, and of the growing need for his solutions.
Today, PPI is the most successful company in the world focused on integrated payment processing, helping over 1,000 software partners and more than 26,000 merchants with efficient, cost-effective payment solutions.
In 2007, PPI processed in excess of $4.1 billion in Visa and MasterCard payments, helping software partners generate a substantial new revenue stream while consistently reducing support costs by up to 70%. PPI's superior technical staff works directly with software developers to assess their needs, assist with integration, and provide the best deployment service available. PPI professionals have deployed every major payment technology using a wide range of applications.
Armed with this extensive knowledge and expertise, PPI has created the next generation of payment technology. In January of 2005 the company released a new payment gateway service called PPI PayMover that is designed to provide ease of integration while offering support for multiple payment types, as well as card present and card not present transactions.
If you're a software developer, you can find out more about reducing support costs and increasing revenue by adding or upgrading an integrated payment processing solution for your application.
Payment Processing, Inc. is a registered ISO/MSP of HSBC Bank USA, National Association, Buffalo NY, First National Bank of Omaha, Omaha, NE and a sponsored Independent Sales Organization of JP Morgan Chase.
